While similar, they each serve a different purpose and you might just want both.

Thrive Architect vs Thrive Theme Builder

Thrive Architect is one of the plugins that put Thrive Themes on the map in the WordPress community. Originally known as the Thrive Visual Editor, this plugin was one of the first, if not actually the first, visual page editor and builder made available to the WordPress community. As such, Thrive Architect has become one of the most popular page builders on the market.

With Thrive Architect you create pages using a drag and drop editor while customizing each element without dealing with CSS or HTML code. The plugin also offers numerous templates that can be used and modified. These templates include sales pages, landing pages, optins, thank you pages, and more.

Thrive Theme Builder is a WordPress theme builder. The theme builder does as it sounds, it helps users build a website theme in WordPress using a drag and drop system. The builder is relatively new to the market but it’s already making a name for itself.

You can create page templates and layouts from scratch or use one of the multiple templates to design your homepage, blog layout, and page layout. You can customize every aspect of the WordPress theme including the header, footer, and sidebar.  You can even set fonts, colors, and more to match throughout the entire site.

When using the Thrive Theme Builder you can use the free ShapeShift theme as a starting point if building a theme from the beginning seems too daunting a task. You will be able to add your logo, determine how you like the website header to appear, add your logo, add branding elements, and so much more.

What is the difference between a Page Builder and Theme Builder?

The real question remains, Thrive Architect or Thrive Theme Builder, which do you need? The answer is, It depends on what you want to do. You can even run both at the same time to maximize your ability to customize your site and content.

If you just want a one of a kind website design and don’t plan to add a lot of different types of content, then the Thrive Theme Builder may be all you need. You can build a website to look exactly like you desire without worrying about other issues. This is great for service providers since they don’t tend to publish a lot of content.

However, if you are a content provider or blogger, you will probably want the Thrive Architect plugin. The ability to create individual landing pages to your specific requirements and specifications and display your content in a way that brings the most benefit to your community will be a life saver.

Whichever option you choose, Thrive Architect, Thrive Theme Builder, or both, you will have the help needed to create a gorgeous website to help attract and keep customers with the added bonus of it taking less time and effort.
