The Thrive Ovation plugin from Thrive Suite formerly Thrive Themes allows you to easily gather and display reviews and testimonials from your own website even if your reviews are coming from Facebook or Twitter.

With the Thrive Ovation plugin, you can put the task of gathering reviews on autopilot. You create a simple landing page just for gathering reviews or testimonials and send a link to that landing page to those who purchase your product in an autoresponder. This way you can set it up once and then forget about it. If you don’t have an autoresponder for your product, (why don’t you?), then you can manually email the customer the link or add the link to the product download page.

The landing page can be as simple or elaborate as you wish. You can allow users to upload a profile image, get their website address, and even ask specific questions about the product, order process, delivery, or demographics.  Some questions you might ask include:

  1. Would you recommend this product to your friends or family?
  2. What made you want to buy this product?
  3. How did you find the product?
  4. Is there anything you would like to see improved?
  5. Did you accomplish your goal with this product?

Once your landing page is published, all that is left is to send customers to it. Once customers start completing the review or testimonial, they will start to appear in the Thrive Ovation dashboard for you to review and approve. When you find a review or testimonial that you want to publish on your website, Thrive Ovation allows you to send an email asking the user for permission. Of course, you could also add a question to the landing page asking for approval and if they answer the question in the affirmative you can avoid this step.
