We all know that reviews and testimonials can make or break a product. If you have no reviews or testimonials, or heaven forbid bad reviews or testimonials, then you will have a higher mountain to climb to sell your product.

But what if you have raving reviews and testimonials? Then you want to display them of course. You will want to use them as proof that your product is amazing. Thrive Ovation is the perfect plugin to collect and display reviews.

How to Use Thrive Ovation to add Social Proof to Your Website

Marketplaces, such as Amazon, Etsy, and Shopify, make it super easy for customers to leave remarks on their orders. But how do you get reviews and testimonials if you are not selling your product on a marketplace? If you are selling products on your own website, then you can make it easy for your customers to leave reviews and testimonials as well with the Thrive Ovation plugin.

Use Thrive Ovation to Get Reviews

The Thrive Ovation plugin from Thrive Suite formerly Thrive Themes allows you to easily gather and display reviews and testimonials from your own website even if your reviews are coming from Facebook or Twitter.

With the Thrive Ovation plugin, you can put the task of gathering reviews on autopilot. You create a simple landing page just for gathering reviews or testimonials and send a link to that landing page to those who purchase your product in an autoresponder. This way you can set it up once and then forget about it. If you don’t have an autoresponder for your product, (why don’t you?), then you can manually email the customer the link or add the link to the product download page.

The landing page can be as simple or elaborate as you wish. You can allow users to upload a profile image, get their website address, and even ask specific questions about the product, order process, delivery, or demographics.  Some questions you might ask include:

  1. Would you recommend this product to your friends or family?
  2. What made you want to buy this product?
  3. How did you find the product?
  4. Is there anything you would like to see improved?
  5. Did you accomplish your goal with this product?
  6. What about the product surprised you the most?
  7. Did you have any problems with the order process or delivery?
  8. Was the checkout process easy?
  9. Are you likely to purchase another product from us?
  10. On a score of 1-10, how would you rate the product?

Once your landing page is published, all that is left is to send customers to it. Once customers start completing the review or testimonial, they will start to appear in the Thrive Ovation dashboard for you to review and approve. When you find a review or testimonial that you want to publish on your website, Thrive Ovation allows you to send an email asking the user for permission. Of course, you could also add a question to the landing page asking for approval and if they answer the question in the affirmative you can avoid this step.

In addition to getting reviews directly from your website, Thrive Ovation can grab reviews directly from Facebook and Twitter. This is will help save you time from screen grabbing or copying and pasting testimonials back and forth from the social media site to your website.

With Thrive Ovation gathering and displaying testimonials you have no reason not to but the best of reviews to work for your product. You can leverage this huge social proof to help boost sales and increase your expertise in the area.
